I love running ProjectOKC, OKC’s favorite social network for GOOD. Many people don’t realize I run this non-profit as a labor of love. There is no salary, there is no stipend, there is no income. We are all volunteers and we deal in man hours, sweat and a few tears. 

Yeah, we’ve come this far without paid staff! We’re all volunteers and the marketing / social networking is done in house by a highly trained staffer, me.

A very generous company has allowed me to run the non-profit while I work for them over the last two years. Monday - Thursday I’m able to be online, sending emails, planning the volunteer events all on their clock. Fridays, I connect with the community, knock out any face to face meetings ProjectOKC needs and finish the weekend working the projects beside the rest of the volunteers.

This could all come to an end. The company I work for has a very real potential to become bankrupt by July through a comedy of FCC errors. Long story, I’ll tell you in person.

Here’s where you come in… I’ll need a new job pretty soon, I’d love to bring ProjectOKC to the table for partnership and continued growth. What started as a thought between a few people sitting around a table planning volunteer events LESS THAN TWO YEARS AGO, grew to thousands of people following our events and around 250 active volunteers throughout OKC.

Organization is what I do. Planning, prepping and project management is the life I live and love. Do you know of a non-profit or company needing a guy like me? A guy willing the put in the hours, start something new, plan for the future and grow a project like mad?
